Discord Markdown preview: check bold, code blocks and spoilers in an approximate local preview, then copy the message. No Discord account.
What is Discord Markdown Preview?
Discord Markdown Preview is a free online tool that shows an approximate preview of a Discord-style message and prepares it for copying. Check bold text, code and spoilers, then copy the message and paste it into Discord. No Discord account or login is needed.
What it supports
- Bold, italics, underline, strikethrough, spoilers (between two vertical bars), inline code and code blocks.
- Quotes, headings up to level three, small text lines, bulleted and numbered lists, and masked links with an http or https address.
Good to know
- The preview is approximate. Discord does its own rendering, which differs in places and can change, so check the message in Discord before you rely on it.
- Discord-only syntax that is not listed above, such as mentions and custom emoji, may not be previewed.
- This tool is not affiliated with Discord and cannot send messages.
How do I use Discord Markdown Preview?
- Type or paste your message.
- Check the approximate preview and the 2,000-character counter. Use Reveal spoiler or Hide spoiler to inspect spoilers; an over-limit message is warned, not blocked from copying.
- Copy the message and paste it into Discord.
Example
A message with bold text, a spoiler and strikethrough.

Limits and privacy
Limits
- Text: up to 2,000,000 bytes of UTF-8 (about 2 MB). Accented letters and emoji take more than one byte each. Larger input or generated text is rejected.
Is my content sent to a server?
No. Your content and files are processed in your browser and never uploaded. OCR and PDF reading download processing files, including OCR language data and the PDF worker, from this same site only when those tools run; no content goes to third parties. Markdown previews show external images as alt text instead of loading them.
Copying puts a result on your clipboard and downloading saves it as a file, but only when you press the button. The file is created in your browser, so nothing is uploaded.
