Content Policy
This policy explains how to use Jsonformatter responsibly. It is short because the site is simple: you type or paste text, or open it from a local file, the tools process it in your browser, and the result stays with you.
Legitimate use
Use Jsonformatter to format, validate and convert data that you have permission to handle, such as your own data or data you are authorized to process.
Secrets and sensitive data
Do not paste secrets, such as passwords, access tokens, API keys or private keys, or other data that you are not allowed to process.
The tools run in your browser and your text is not sent to the server, but the site does not inspect your text. It cannot tell whether what you paste is sensitive or whether you are allowed to use it, so please decide before you paste.
Unlawful or abusive use
Do not use Jsonformatter for anything unlawful, to harm or harass other people, or to try to gain unauthorized access to any system.
Resource abuse
The tools are made for people using the site in a browser. Do not use scripts, bots or other automation to put heavy or repeated load on the site, and do not try to overload it. The site has no public developer API.
What Jsonformatter does and does not do
Jsonformatter does not inspect or store the text you enter, and it is not a moderation service. It has no accounts, so it has no way to take down content or suspend users.
Nothing you enter is saved or shared by the site.
Reporting and contact
If you see misuse of the site or have a question about this policy, write to us by email. Do not include secrets or text that you pasted into a tool. We do not promise a response time.

Updates
We may update this policy as the site changes. The version on this page is the current one.
